Robin Peters is an LPN who has worked at Hiawatha HomeCare since December 2018. Robin’s role at Hiawatha HomeCare is Medical Records Coordinator, she also assists with referral/intake inquiries.
Robin believes that every client deserves to be home with their families while maintaining their highest quality of life possible. She believes that every department involved in healthcare, from office personnel to direct care staff, contribute important skills to ensure the highest quality and continuity of care for each individual client.
Robin has over 25 years of experience in healthcare. She started out as a housekeeper/laundry aid, then became a CNA. Eventually deciding to pursue a license in Practical Nursing. She has worked as an LPN and as a Clinical Reimbursement Coordinator in long-term care for 20 years.
Robin was on the Dean’s List during nursing school, graduated with a 4.0 gpa, and received an award for highest score on mock boards. She has many certificates from trainings and seminars she has attended, including, ICD9/ICD10 coding, MDS coding, reimbursement trainings, wound care training/seminars, training in multiple long-term care software programs, etc.
When not at Hiawatha HomeCare Robin enjoys spending time with her growing family. She and her husband, Brent, enjoy going to auctions and raising fainting goats. Robin also enjoys quilting, making rag rugs, crafting, and reading psych thriller books.
